Welcome to Visit-the-World's Eiffel Tower section ...

Visit Eiffel Tower

Visit Eiffel TowerThe Eiffel Tower is the symbol of Paris, France --- the most romantic city in the world! In fact, what conjures up more romance for a couple in love than a superb weekend city break, amongst sexy film stars and other celebrity guests, at the beautiful Paris Hilton, in the elegant Avenue de Suffren, only a step from the Eiffel Tower and Trocadero Gardens and a block away  from the River Seine? It is not even too far to travel from Britain, especially on the rapid  Eurostar. However, it is a world away and the weather is normally far better. Paris in the Spring is especially delightful.

The Paris Hilton, of course, was the 5 star hotel where Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed spent their tragic last evening together. At least, their final hours were spent in the most beautiful city on the planet!

The architecture of central Paris is superb. It is an uplifting experience just to stroll around and feast the eyes. A walk down the world's most celebrated avenue, the absolutely straight, chestnut-tree lined Champs-Elysees, from the  magnificent Arc de Triomphe at the top of the hill, to the spacious Place de la Concorde at the bottom, is de rigueur, as they would say in French. It is the first thing that most tourists do after arriving in Paris; stopping here and there, at the vibrant pavement cafes, to sample a cafe au lait or a glass of pastis, as they soak up the Parisian atmosphere and watch the world go by.

After the bustle of  Place de la Concorde, the visitor enters the peaceful park, the Jardin des Tuileries alongside the Seine. Then you come to the vast Louvre Museum, formerly a palace for French kings, but now the home of the world's priceless treasures. You cannot come to Paris without  viewing works of art as beautiful and renowned as the Venus de Milo and  the Mona Lisa! There are countless more superb paintings and sculptures as well.

In the middle of the Seine, is the boat-shaped island, the Ile de la Cite, where Paris was born. Here you will find the magnificent Notre Dame Cathedral, a national shrine of incomparable beauty.

Just across the  Pont St Louis bridge from the island is Paris's other,  less well-known and smaller isle, the Ile Saint-Louis, an enchanted  haven of tranquility and gracious living in the centre of Paris.

South of Ile de la Cite, across the Seine, is the Rive Gauche, the  famed Left Bank, home of the Sorbonne University and the Latin Quarter.

It was here, amongst questioning students, that protest, revolt and "left-wing " politics were born. The hub is the Place Saint Michel, the  Boulevard St Michel that leads from it and the Boulevard St Germain that crosses the latter. It is a wonderful area; many [including myself] would claim, it is the finest place in Paris!

Don't miss the fantastically competitive, superb Greek restaurants in the narrow, atmospheric streets of the Saint-Severin quarter; the wonderful food odours of the Rue Mouffetard on a Saturday morning or the famous literary cafes, Aux Deux Magots and Cafe de Flore, near Saint -Germain-des- Pres. And don't forget the relaxing Luxembourg Gardens and Montparnasse!

Back on the Rive Droite, the Right Bank of the Seine, there are so many areas and beautiful buildings worth seeing; Hotel de Ville; Opera; Le Marais; Bastille and last, but not least, Montmartre, with its Moulin Rouge live entertainment and magnificently ornate, white-stoned Sacre-Coeur church, representing either end of the moral spectrum. A visit to the Place du Tertre on a Sunday morning to see the street-artists at work is another Paris must.

Located near a bend in the River Seine and overlooking the whole of central Paris, at 984 feet in height, is the Eiffel Tower, one of the most famous man-made structures in the world. The view from the top is stupendous!

Spoil yourself and check-in with your loved one into the gorgeous Paris Hilton for that unforgettable week-end break!!
